Marquette Park
Located along the Mississippi River, Savanna’s oldest park offers both river access and stunning views, making it an ideal spot to relax or enjoy a meal.

Stretching across four city blocks, the park features a large shelter house, two smaller shelters, over 20 benches, and a walking path that follows the river’s edge. Two free boat launches, one at each end of the park, and a 41-space parking lot for vehicles and trailers make it easy to visit. A handicapped-accessible restroom is centrally located in the upper section of the park. Opened in 1918, the park was named Marquette Park after a contest won by schoolboy Charles Reese. In April 1930, the property was officially turned over to the park district.
